”Svinniska” is a new way to talk about consumer behaviour for reducing food waste.
The svinniska* dictionary contains new words for desirable behaviours in planning, shopping, preparing, storing, and consuming food. An example is Best before-snoozing, meaning to prolong the durability by looking at, smelling, and tasting food – in other words, trusting your senses. Food companies and organisations can also help spread the concept through their own campaigns and communication initiatives.

* "Svinn" is the Swedish word for "waste" and "iska" is a suffix that's often used in Swedish language names, i.e. "Turkish" in Swedish is "turkiska".
