Trade with Ireland and Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland is subject to rules in force within the Union. This means that the food control will take place between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK, and not at the border with Ireland.
Goods subject to border control on importation may be subject to control requirements if they are going through the UK. For more information, see respective pages on import and export.
